Oakwood Gardens is a 7-acre garden and Airbnb located on a 70-acre ranch in the lush North Willamette Valley. The grounds have an Old World ambiance and are named after the majestic 300-year-old oak tree on the property. Guests enter through a long, birch-lined driveway flanked by pastures of alpacas that live on the ranch.
Oakwood Gardens offers many tucked away nooks, each with its own special atmosphere. The formal beds surrounding the house culminate at a three-tiered koi and water lily pool. Hidden nearby is a secret garden blanketed with lavender and the hum of honeybees. A walled white garden is crowned with a rose-topped pergola. The potager yields an abundant harvest of vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.
Seek refuge under the arbor and reflect on the classic fountain in the garden’s center. Surrounding the potager is a cottage garden with sweet peas climbing up the white picket fence. Rows of berries and fruit trees only add to the bounty.
The pergola by the nature pond is cloaked in red clematis and is adjacent to the fragrant lilac orchard. Across the bridge and just past the picturesque water fall, you will find a sanctuary garden with a 60-foot reflecting pool. Farther down the path under the grand Douglas Fir trees is an Amish wedding gazebo edged by woodland plants.
